In the last weeks Vicenza is in the eye of global war. The Us military base "Ederle" is going to be amplied with a new massive base, located at Dal Molin airport.
Thousands of people already protested at beginning of December. When the "center left" government, lead by Romano Prodi and supported by parties that say to be against the war, said "The base will be approved", citizens and movements in Vicenza mobilised permanently and are still in front of the old airport since weeks. Tens of local members of parlamentary parties resigned in protest.
